The Digital Turret Assembly option provides three objective lenses mounted in a motorized turret assembly that allows the user to select the desired magnification for measurement under computer control in SNAP-X software. When the turret option is not present the single lens magnification selector shown in the top illustration below provides three digital magnifications by moving the selector to the right for higher digital magnification and to the left to lower magnification. When the digital turret option is available the magnification selector is modified as shown in the lower illustration. Now each of the three available optical magnification all have three digital magnifications associated with them. As the selector is moved from left to right the magnification increases. There are three zones on the selector bar differentiated by thickness indicating where the turret change operation occurs.
